I have written this book for two reasons: to share my passion for language teaching through Task Based Learning (TBL) and hopefully help bridge some of the gaps between the theory on TBL and how to implement it in a New Zealand classroom.
It is intended to be a manual divided into two main parts. The first part breaks down how to set up a TBL teaching unit and at the end of each chapter there is a review section with bullet points for you to reflect on what you’ve read and do some work. The second part provides complete units so that you have an idea of what a whole teaching sequence would be like.
