This book has been very popular among people who perhaps remember their own teenage years. They also enjoy it because it is irresistibly funny and certainly not considered politically correct.
It was the winner of the Autobiography Section of New Zealand Book month ahead of many well known international titles.
The author would likely have been considered disobedient, unruly, disorderly, undisciplined, cheeky, mischievous, disrespectful, crazy and; ‘in need of a damn good thrashing’; by the older generation during the late 1960’s.
